TERMS OF SERVICE
The following statements constitute a legal agreement between customers and Dani’s Delights regarding our products, the terms of which are set out below. When purchasing an item you are responsible for reading the full item listing. You enter into a legally binding contract to purchase when you complete the payment process for a product.
Final price quotes will be sent once all elements of the cake have been agreed upon. We are under no obligation to provide products at a lower price than advertised. Any amendments to an agreed-upon cake design will be subject to additional fees.
We cannot be held liable for any damage caused to any items once we have delivered, set up your cake, and received a signature on our delivery note. We will do our best to deliver your cake within your chosen time slot, however, delivery timings cannot be guaranteed. Refunds will not be issued for delayed deliveries. In the unlikely case that your delivery is delayed, we will keep your wedding planner/coordinator updated and deliver your case as close as possible to your original delivery time.
Once your cake has been collected, it will be held at your own risk. Once collected, we cannot be held liable for any damages to cakes/products. Customers are advised to handle cakes with care as they are extremely fragile. Cakes should be kept on a flat secure surface to avoid tipping during transportation. Avoid placing cakes on car seats, laps. We recommend placing cakes on the floor of the passenger side. Ensure your vehicle is cool before collection to avoid melting.
A non-refundable deposit of £200 is required to secure your wedding date. If you have to cancel for any reason, this will not be refunded to you, however if I am forced to cancel, you will be given notice and refunded in full. By paying the £200 deposit and securing the date you are accepting the terms and conditions.
All our cakes are made in a kitchen that works with milk, gluten, eggs, nuts and other allergens. Even if your chosen recipe does not include the allergen, traces of these products are possible. Please note that we DO NOT cater to individuals with allergens. By purchasing a cake you have agreed to this statement and it is your responsibility to advise guests on this.
The final balance for wedding cakes will be due no later than 5 weeks before the wedding date. If you choose to cancel after the balance has been paid it will not be refunded to you, neither is this balance transferable to another date.
If you need to make changes to your wedding cake the cut-off for any changes is 6 weeks before the wedding, after which they will not be possible.
Due to the nature of our designs, some of our cakes may include non-edible decorations. This also includes structural supports such as dowels and cake boards. You will be informed of this in detail and it is your responsibility to remove them before the cake is served.
All agreed details will be detailed on your invoice, so if there any errors or changes you wish to be made, this is the point at which to do so. The invoice will be amended and a new one out with the changes. This may incur extra charges depending on if it requires more labour or materials.
Once your wedding cake is set up at the venue, I am not responsible if someone else moves it or places it in an unsuitable location e.g next to a bathroom or the middle of the dancefloor. The cake will be set up in its final location whenever possible and we will ensure that the cake is placed exactly as it should be before leaving. If the cake is damaged after I leave it will be the responsibility of the venue.
The responsibility of the presentation of cut slices of cake lies with the caterer/venue. Please advise your caterers to cut your cake with care and precision.
All cakes are baked and decorated with the intention of being eaten on the wedding day. After this date, it is at your own risk that you eat any leftovers as I cannot guarantee or control storage conditions which affect shelf life. Leftover cakes should be wrapped twice over in cling film and stored in an airtight container to maintain freshness. This should be consumed in 1-3 days.
Buttercream cakes are not advisable during hot months or in certain venues such as marquees. With outdoor venues such as a marquee, insects and other bugs are likely to enter on hot days, so the choice to have a buttercream cake is at your own risk and I will not be held responsible once set up is completed or once your celebration cake has been collected.
